Dogs & them …. (a.k.a. artists)

Dogs inspiring all around the world. Dogs are irresistible as subjects to people who are sensitive and who, by the nature of what they do spend a great deal of time in another world, a.k.a. artists.  Why is this? – Dogs show up in work that is primal, conceptual, and evocative of the big questions that inspire: questions about love, life, joy, pain, violence, power, and death.

Movies.- The Lady and the Tramp is a 1955 American animated film produced by  Walt Disney  and released to theaters on June 22, 1955. The story man  Joe Grant  came up with an idea inspired by his Springer Spaniel  Lady, and how she got “shoved aside” by Joe’s new baby. The story evolved through the years to what we now know as the Lady and the Tramp.

Photography.-  Carli Davidson is a photographer who has a flair when it comes to capture “the moment”.

Bloggers.-  The Drool Hunter takes to the city streets to sniff out the best in doggy style, the most beautiful breeds, the most playful puppies, and the people – like me – who adore them.

Fashion.- Many designers are creating collections for dogs. winter, summer and of course halloween.

Furniture.-  Gimmi Martin is, in fact, Jimmie Karlsson and Martin Nihlmar. Together they make furniture for people who know what they like. Their bold, witty designs have attracted the attention of celebrities, interior designers and the occasional party goer.

Interior Design.-  Bathroom design inspired on their dog. Red accents walls with black and white pictures of their dog hanging on the wall by a giant white clips. A fur carpet and a candle holder on the wall joining modern,  homy  and elegant.

Wine.- Second- label Shiraz fro  Hugh Hamilton.  This bight and playful Shiraz is named after the winery’s loyal dog: Jimmy.
