Dogs & them …. (a.k.a. artists)

Dogs inspiring all around the world. Dogs are irresistible as subjects to people who are sensitive and who, by the nature of what they do spend a great deal of time in another world, a.k.a. artists.  Why is this? – Dogs show up in work that is primal, conceptual, and evocative of the big questions that inspire: questions about love, life, joy, pain, violence, power, and death.

The story man  Joe Grant  came up with an idea inspired by his Springer Spaniel  Lady, and how she got “shoved aside” by Joe’s new baby. The story evolved through the years to what we now know as the Lady and the Tramp.

Fashion.- Many designers are creating collections for dogs. winter, summer and of course halloween.

Furniture.-  Gimmi Martin is, in fact, Jimmie Karlsson and Martin Nihlmar. Together they make furniture for people who know what they like. Their bold, witty designs have attracted the attention of celebrities, interior designers and the occasional party goer.

Interior Design.-  Bathroom design inspired on their dog. Red accents walls with black and white pictures of their dog hanging on the wall by a giant white clips. A fur carpet and a candle holder on the wall joining modern,  homy  and elegant.
